Quinta dos Carqueijais

Cidade da Calcedónia is a short route (SR) pedestrian trail with a real way to go of 9.3 km - the average time is approximately 5 hours - consisting of sloping paths, which makes it of high difficulty.

This trail is developed in the territories of Covide and Campo do Gerês, which have a remarkable historical and cultural plot by its community traditions and archaeological antiques. This circular route, pretends to achieve the mythical archaeological site called "Cidade da Fraga”, which the seventeenth-century scholars immortalized with the classic toponym of Calcedónia.
